Working with a Mad Scientist

We know working with a Mad Scientist might be new to you. We love to work with agencies and design shops that wish they could have a Mad Scientist on staff, but just can't justify keeping one around all the time. Our goal is to work with you as technical support to creative vision. We offer a number of ways to get a Mad Scientist in your lab* for a project, a day, or for a set number of hours each month!

*It's ok if you don't have a lab. We can work in a regular old office or studio just as well, and are happy to work with your team remotely from our lab as well.

Consulting Fees

We offer a standard consulting fee option for clients who have a specific project in mind, but don't have a good grasp on how many hours they are going to need a Mad Scientist. We also apply standard rates for rush jobs or jobs to be billed after completion.

Monthly Packages

Mad Scientists love mobile phones. Aside from the things you can do with them when you take them apart, there are the monthly packages. Rollover minutes. We like this idea!

Pre-pay for a set number of hours with a Mad Scientist for a given month and enjoy a discount of up to 25% off the standard consulting fee. Additionally, you know we've accounted for your hours, so you're not likely to get bumped by a more explosive experiment. If you have hours left over at the end of the month, but the project isn't quite finished, don't worry, you can roll them over into the next month as long as you order up a few more. We will never pre-sell more hours for a month than we can work.

Partnership Options

If you are a small to medium-sized agency that has a consistent need for technical help, you may be eligible for partnership benefits. With a few simple commitments, your agency could enjoy special pricing and additional perks as a Mad Science Dept. partner.
